Support the Halloween parade
safety for our children when attending the halloween parade
People don't care if the streets are filled with happy, excited children, they drive so dangerously. This petition is the best way to keep our children safe.
I live in the neighborhood and there have always been a tons of kids on Fairview and Edgewood on Halloween and it’ll be really unsafe if the road isn’t closed off.
My child loves this parade and we would like to keep the streets safe for our child and other children in the neighborhood
To keep Halloween night safe for all the trick or treaters and families living in the neighborhood
I live and Edgewood and the parade is so much fun. Every year there have been police there keeping traffic out and the same should be true for this year. The whole town seems to come here to trick or treat.
I have lived at the corner of Edgewood Avenue and Lessing Road since the Halloween parade began. I’ve seen reckless driving without regard for the children and families who want to enjoy the event. One woman made a rude gesture after I asked her to slow down. I fear that someone may get injured—or worse. For years I’ve wondered why the Police Department doesn’t close our street during the parade. It is necessary.
Safety for our kids on Halloween
Child Safety
The safety of the children/people in the neighborhood.
Edgewood Ave does not have sidewalks along the full length of the street and it becomes very congested on Halloween with trick or treaters. Having police presence from the WOPD to help direct traffic is critical for the safety of pedestrians, especially young children who will be energetically running from door to door and not paying attention to oncoming vehicles.
WO Police presence is critical for the safety of the community during trick or treating along Edgewood Ave in the St. Cloud neighborhood, as there are no sidewalks along the full duration of the street.
Just moved to St Cloud and have heard so much about the Halloween parade so we definitely want to see it go ahead
The annual Halloween parade is a tradition loved by the community. We've already stocked up on candy and treats!
Would love to see safe streets for trick or treating in my neighborhood
I think the parade is an important holiday tradition for families.
As a decade+ resident of St Cloud and one of the more festive stops on the St Cloud Halloween Parade route, I believe the parade brings our community together in a way that harkens back to simpler times. I'd like to see the tradition continue, and grow.
Keep the kids safe!
