No child should be treated unfairly education is one of the biggest factor that they need in life

The principal must go! Dr. Nichols is toxic and her leadership is non-existent. She is an immature and unskilled and our community deserves better! Let’s Start that petition! We must speak up!

Norfolk Public Schools has way too many problems that they refuse to address. Their modus operandi is to ignore inquiries and complaints and hope they go away. There are some wonderful teachers, but the unresponsiveness of the school system allows the really crappy ones to stay forever. Norfolk is the school system where sub-par teachers go to make a career. Get it together Dr. Byrdsong and staff!!!!

Because the events happening are not right and the children need their teacher. She is an excellent teacher who loves these children and attends to their needs.

Every child should be treated respectfully!!
If a teacher is at a school they should NOT be abusive to ANY child !!!

I also dealt with the same abuse with my two younger children when they were younger, as they both had Asperger’s, along with some other Special Needs. It took me to go all the way up to the NY Board of Education to get results for my Children.. I do not understand in this day and age why this is still a still happening!

This petition is important to me for many reasons, one of which is that I am a former employee of a school that these actions seem to mirror.

It’s important to people I know and was explained to me to be a good cause. I don’t see a reason not to support.

It’s important The children have a safe learning space in order To progress, their mind and their mental awareness.

Because the rapport that a child have with their teacher that they start with some time causes stress

Because all children deserve the same education and should not be treated poorly or unfairly if the child requires specific needs.

Children’s minds are very impressionable. It’s important to surround them with the best qualified people that help them learn and feel comfortable.

Because all teachers who are passionate about there children should get to be with them and support them through the school year

Every child should get the appropriate education . Children with IEPs often don’t get the services / accommodations stated on their documentation.

Educators who put their all into making sure their students are being properly tended to and advocated for should receive nothing but wavering support from fellow faculty and leadership. Children with IEPs should never have to deal with verbal abuse or this level trauma due to premature removal. The “SPED” teacher clearly isn’t fit to be in the classroom! The children are not being prioritized and there needs to be immediate change for the overall safety and well being of the children.

My Grandson is in this school and has special needs

My kid used to go to Crossroad and the safety of these children is NOT the first priority at this location. The principal Dr Nichols simply doesn’t care but is always ready to explain away any forthcomings.

I was a parent of a kindergarten student at Crossroad who went missing because the school released my kid (student) to an unknown adult without checking ID or the list for authorized people to pickup and lied to me about mixing my kid up with another student. The teacher knew me and only me at the time and when I saw her the first few mins and asked who she released my kid to, she answered “a woman”. She then states that it is not crossroads policy to check everyone’s ID at release time. Dr Nichols did not only acknowledge this mistake or apologize she made up some excuse and sympathy story about how she’s also lost her kid and how she felt at that time. She had no sympathy whatsoever in this situation and to this day, she has not reached out personally to apologize to me or my spouse for this wrong doing and negligence. We must investigate Dr Nichols’ administrative actions within the school immediately.

I want this kids to be treated fairly and have a fair shot at getting a good education !

Because the school system should be taking care of our kids. We trust the school and the teachers with our children and we should know they’re safe being away from home.

Bullying is NOT OK!!!!
