Refugees add great value to our communities, and in order to qualify for refugee status have been required to go through years of paperwork and process. It is crucial that we are able to welcome these new families with the support they need to get settled in a new country
Refugees allowed into this country need financial and emotional support to help them get started here in the U. S. Many left their own countries because their lives were endangered by their association with American forces.
Refugees make this country better and
i want to support them. It is also my Christian to try and love my neighboras myself.

Foundation of our democratic values
Vetted refugees deserve the fulfillment of the promise of America.
I have personally mentored 5 refugee families through my church. It is without a doubt one of the most rewarding things I have done. These people enriched my life in many ways, and impacted our community in positive ways as well.
It is scandalous that we are cutting off people who do not at this point have resources to live in this country and many of whom have sypported the U.S. when we needed them.
Our church actively supports people in our community who have resettled here for refuge. We have partnered with the NICE organization for many years. It’s a work of humanitarian service to support and fund this organization.
Because refugee families need help!!
We can’t be an isolationist country. People need our help.
I have known and loved some of these refugees as neighbors.
We are ALL God’s children!
We should welcome and help resettle those who are already here. It’s the right and just thing to do.
It is the right and humanitarian thing to do to accept refugees and help them resettle.
Give people who come here legally, seeking refuge a second chance to start a life.
i care about refugee care
I have many friends who are or have been refugees, and they’re all good people. They just want to live good and productive lives. What most Americans don’t realize about legal refugees is that they’re far more carefully vetted than any of our coworkers or politicians. But even without that careful vetting, mercy to the vulnerable is always the right thing to do.
Innocent people should treated as criminals.
Deuteronomy 27:19
Matthew 25:35
Christian Faith
I believe in the ethical and hospitable treatment of people seeking refuge in the United States of America.
I have helped resetlle refugees in Nashville. They are good, hard-working people. They have done all the "right" things to live here and have a better life. Why would we do this to them? Also, I love Jesus. And Jesus was a refugee.
As a social worker and Christian, I value the dignity and worth of the person.
I don’t believe what Trump has laid out regarding immigrants is humane and it goes against everything our country is founded on.
Our church and my own life has been dramatically enhanced by refugees resettled to Nashville. This sudden change is reckless, painful, and deeply disturbing. My faith compels me to demonstrate God's concern for refugees.
Because I am a Christian, and I believe that not only do we Christians have an obligation to refugees, our American government has an obligation to integrity—to fulfill their lawful commitments.
Refugees are here legally with government support. This is not a national security issue. We have already promised financial support to these people who have fled their homes due to tragic circumstances. It is cruel to revoke that support from people who have gone through the proper, legal channels to come to America.
I believe it is important to support these people who are fleeing from danger and who have already been vetted & promised our support.
I have worked with refugees for decades and every one has been kind, hard-working, excellent neighbors. I want them in my city and neighborhood!
We need to keep our promises to these people. Compassion for immigrants.
