Petition is addressed to: UNC-Charlotte Administration
On March 25th, UNCC Students Supporting Israel are hosting two active-duty IDF soldiers on UNC-Charlotte's main campus. These soldiers, who were active-duty during the Palestinian genocide, will be giving a lecture about their "hope for Zionism- in Israel and on campus." Community members, students, and staff demand that UNCC administration say NO to platforming genociders and war criminals!
Reason
The International Court of Justice, alongside the United Nations, have both declared what is happening in Palestine- Israel’s ruthless destruction of Palestinian land, massacres of civilians, displacement of its Indigenous inhabitants, prevention of basic humanitarian aid’s entry into the region, occupying Palestinian land and towns for the building of Israeli settlements, and the recently charged acts of mass sexual, gender, and reproductive violence- to be a genocide.
We, the undersigned organizations, students, staff, faculty, and community members demand that UNC-Charlotte administration recognize the UNCC Students Supporting Israel's direct violation of UNC-Charlotte's neutrality policy by inciting physical and emotional distress within the student body through their hosting of active-duty IDF soldiers on March 25th.
