My grandma dedicated her life to her students and community. I don't think there is a more perfect person to represent Bishop Primary School in her honor. We would love to see the school renamed! :)
Nancy was a key component in Bishop, TX. She was a lecagy and and taught many children in Bishop. She was a Badger Alumni and class of 1964. No one can ever replace her but she must live on in the request for a name change of our building
Loved Mrs Smith and family. She continued to love on her students well after we had moved on.
I went to Bishop Elementary, Jr. High and High School and be Nancy Smith to be a legendary educator
Nancy Smith was a beloved member of the Bishop community. She made a huge impact on countless students & citizens. It would not only honor her, but her family & the whole town of Bishop to rename this school after her.
Mrs. Smith deserves this honor.
She was a great teacher and a great person.
I grew up and went to school in Bishop. Mrs. Smith was my elementary school teacher and I went to high school with her kids.
After I left, I saw the impact she had on future generations and the community.
I feel it’s only fitting that the school she gave some much to be named in her honor
Mrs. Smith was Zach teacher and she was very good at it.
Mrs. Smith had a lasting impact on her students and their parents. She was a life long educator and after she retired she continued to teach others in a variety of different ways.
She was a wonderful teacher! Dearly loved by her community! Always there to support her community, as well as her family!! She is missed by all!!
Mrs Smith was my kindergarten teacher (Bishop Class of '93), but she was more than just a great teacher from the past! When I was in the military and deployed overseas, she set it up for her current Kindergarten class to be my pen pals. It meant a lot to me being over seas for 13 months and later I learned what it meant to the kids that were in her class. This sweet women went above and beyond in all aspects of being a great teacher, awesome mentor, and a true to the heart Badger! There are no more deserving of this honor than Nancy Smith!!!
Nancy Smith made a difference in so many children’s lives.
Naming the Primary after Nancy would be a great tribute to her. She has given so much to our community. We can celebrate her and recognize her of how remarkable she was as a teacher. She taught 2 out of our 3 kids and even my husband. She was an amazing woman, teacher and friend. She will be missed but honoring her with this will keep her memory alive.
She was an amazing woman who also happened to touch MANY lives as fantastic teacher.
Mrs.Smith was my favorite teacher. She was very kind and caring.
You have other parts of the school name after school employees. .
She was a great person plus Teacher. I no longer live in Bishop. My kids never had Nancy. She greeted everyone with her beautiful smile daily. I think naming the school after her is a great idea.
Nancy P. Smith made a huge impact on me and my family. She taught both of my boys and was my student teacher as I got my teaching degree. She was my mentor and dear friend! She worked diligently to help our community, the people and our schools. She was a class act and should be remembered with something as special as this as she will never be forgotten. She’s our shining star🌟
Mrs. Smith always made me feel special and was always so sweet to me and my family. She was and always will be my favorite teacher of all time.
Mrs. Smith was an impactful part of my career choice. She inspires me still today!
Well deserve for Mrs Smith
I'm already working on it good sir
Please join me in supporting the renaming our local primary school to honor the late great Nancy Pearson Smith. Mrs. Smith was an exemplary educator here in Bishop, Texas. Her name will serve as a beacon of educational excellence and pride. It will inspire everyone to leave an unforgettable mark, as she did, on each child that starts their BCISD journey, by walking through the door of "Nancy P. Smith Primary School". 💚💛🦡🖍

I did not have Mrs Smith as a teacher. I did not move to Bishop until 6th grade. However, I was fortunate to be friends with her eldest daughter, Dee. I spent time at the Smithsonian and witnessed Nancy's love and dedication to learning firsthand. As an adult, it was clear how much she loved her community. I was told, by some of her former students, that she would not only remember them many years later, but keep up with their lives on social media. I was always envious of them. Knowing at such an early age that someone other than your parents genuinely loved and cared about you set the precedent for the rest of your life. Naming the very place that would happen after her is only fitting.
