Petition is addressed to: louisville, CO City Council

I am urging you to join me in demanding that the City Council of Louisville, CO promptly approve the necessary capital to replace the faulty liner of the Coal Creek Golf Course pond. When we preserve our green-spaces, we preserve our town's charm and the Earth's biodiversity. Please, sign this petition today.

Reason

The pond at Louisville's Coal Creek Golf Course’s 11th green has been facing a persistent problem: it can't hold water. A faulty liner, now several years old, has been leaking water and threatens the critically important aquatic life that calls the pond home. This neglect from the City Council, despite numerous requests from the golf course management for funds to replace the liner, is causing an increased presence of decaying plant and animal matter. As local, state, and national environmental data shows, such conditions can have dire effects on the local ecosystems (source: EPA). If unaddressed, this issue can create a severe imbalance in the natural setting of Louisville, CO.
