The parcel located on APN# 006-510-019 was purchased by Ruby Mountain Ranch Holdings, LLC. The owner would like to explore the development of a recreational area, which could offer things such as skiing, mountain biking, via ferrata, hiking trails, etc.
Reason
Nothing like this exists in the area. The Ruby Mountains are very landlocked in the Spring Creek and Lamoille areas and this rezone from Open Space (OS) to Agricultural Recreation (AgREC) could open an amazing opportunity for the community to enjoy year-round. People on neighboring parcels in the area are fighting this, but we believe that the greater public in the surrounding areas would very much be in support of something like this and believe the rezone would be a great addition to the area.

Why people sign
A Ski Resort a few miles away from our home is perfect. Moved to Colorado back in the 1990’s to ski and enjoy each season in the Rocky Mountains. Now a ski resort will come to our neighborhood. Signing this petition to build a nearby ski resort will be a dream come true!
We have kids who love skiing, it would be nice to have a proper hill close by and not have to spend tons of money getting to a hill
