Petition is addressed to: City council

We, the undersigned residents and concerned citizens of Platte City urge the City Council to uphold the original development plans for Windmill Creek Subdivision. The proposed changes to decrease lot sizes and introduce affordable housing deviate from the promises made to current homeowners and threaten the integrity of our community.
Reducing lot sizes and building homes of significantly lower value will not only diminish property values but also reduce tax income for the city, placing undue stress on community resources such as schools, roads, and public safety services. This decision could have far-reaching implications for the quality of life in Platte City, affecting all residents.
We call upon the City Council to prioritize the interests of current residents and ensure that any future developments align with the established vision for our community. Let's protect the investments and promises made to us and maintain the high standards that attracted us to Platte City in the first place.
Sign this petition to show your support for preserving the original development plans of Windmill Creek Subdivision and safeguarding the future of our community.

Reason

The motivations for this petition stem from the desire to preserve the integrity and original vision of the Windmill Creek Subdivision. Residents are concerned that proposed changes to decrease lot sizes and introduce affordable housing will undermine property values, strain community resources, and compromise the quality of life for current and future residents.
The request to uphold the original development plans should be granted to honor the commitments made to current homeowners, maintain property values, and ensure sustainable growth that aligns with the community's expectations and needs. By doing so, the City Council can protect the investments and trust of its citizens while promoting responsible development that enhances rather than diminishes the overall well-being of Platte City.

Thank you for your support, Jacqueline Williams from , Platte City
