PETITION TO PRESERVE THE FULL 18-HOLE PUBLIC GOLF COURSE
Razones.
We, the undersigned, ask the City of Knoxville, Knox County, and the Sports Authority to preserve all 18 holes of Knoxville Municipal Golf Course on Schaad Road and consider alternative locations for the proposed sports complex. This public course provides affordable golf, supports school teams, and maintains valuable green space for our community.
By signing, I support keeping Knoxville Municipal Golf Course as an 18-hole public golf course.

Our area has seen record growth. Golf has only increased in popularity. We are currently in need of MORE golf courses, not less in order accommodate the increasing demand. Unfortunately, the cost to buy land and then develop it into a new golf course is nearly impossible. We need to save what we have. We already have 2, 9 hole short courses serving our area, we don’t need a 3rd. Altering this course will only put increased pressure on the others and they’re busy enough as it is now.
