Ask anyone in our community what it is like driving at night without roadway lights that enhance driver visibility…It is no secret that light poles on the road protect drivers and pedestrians from accidents. This is a proven solution found nearly every where, now we need to implement that solution on the roads throughout Sussex County that need them most. This petition is important because of the high number of fatal car accidents that occur and continue to increase each year in the State of Delaware. Community members, families, friends, drivers, pedestrians, visitors, tourists — all need safer public travel. This petition calls for the public to take action and provide electric light poles of roadways. Especially as population grows with new real estate developments, we invite the public to join us in our efforts to ensure our roads provide State Safe Travel.This petition honors the souls of the lives lost and the future lives that can be saved from our public collaborative action.
