Petition is addressed to: Wisconsin Legislature

This petition, for Wisconsin residents to sign, is to urge our United State Senators, Tammy Baldwin and Ron Johnson to listen to their constituents and to call on President Biden to exercise his power to stop this genocide.
Senators Johnson and Baldwin: 
Enough is enough! The United States government must stop supporting Israel’s mass murder of civilians in Gaza. Since October 7th, Israel has used US-made weapons to deliberately target hospitals, schools, refugee camps, churches and mosques. Israel’s military campaign has killed over 26,000 civilians including over 10,000 children with uncounted thousands more buried beneath the rubble. Israel’s refusal to allow adequate humanitarian aid to reach those in need is expected to cause even more starvation and disease. 
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled that Israel must begin to comply with the 1948 United Nations Convention on  Genocide to prevent an irreparable catastrophe in Gaza.  Israel relies on support from the Biden administration to protect it from any attempt to enforce the ICJ’s ruling.  Only the United States has the power to stop the ongoing catastrophe in Gaza..
The Palestinian people have endured a brutal occupation for the past sixteen years. Now they are enduring constant bombing and untold numbers of civilian deaths. Compassion and international law stand on the side of those calling for a permanent ceasefire.
Silence is complicity. You have a choice to exercise your power as US Senators, or continue to ignore your constituents. You can stand against genocide, ethnic cleansing, and apartheid; or you can be judged by the voters and future generations for your inaction.
Palestinians have the right to life and to self-determination.
We, the undersigned residents of Wisconsin, demand you call for:
 
1) An Immediate, permanent (not just humanitarian) ceasefire and unhindered humanitarian aid.
2) An end to financial and military aid to Israel. 
3) An end to the blockade of Gaza and the occupation of the West Bank.
