I am just a citizen fed up with the ubiquitously present divisive climate. I am convinced that we must refrain from vilifying everyone who disagrees with our opinion and start discussing problems and challenges to find sustainable solutions openly.

Furthermore, we need to establish a strong sense of morality and duty to balance our rights and freedoms. This means that personal gain can not be the main driving factor in people's life. We should care about our neighbors, whether in our street or another country and work to prevent undue suffering.

I try to apply this mindset to my life as best as I can manage. I expect politicians to follow these ideals instead of attempting to gather cheap goodwill by catering exclusively to their respective electorate. Or worse, merely trying to set themselves up for a prosperous retirement.
