Having access to good food at a late hour is needed in this city.
The proposed ordinance being put in place by the city of Orlando will negatively affect many businesses that I and many others love. These businesses provide community for many citizens of Orlando.
If I want good food at a certain food truck, it should be available as long as the other food trucks too.
This is important bc there are ppl that can’t cook at night so we rely on foood trucks that are open late
Cause Zach is talented and the people deserve great food after hours
Amazing food and safe environment
Best food in the city! Amazing community and safe space for everyone.
Because local spots that provide community need to stay (and thrive) in their business. Too many locally owned business’ have closed this year. If I can do anything to prevent that (especially to one of my favorite spots), I’ll do it.
Cause this guy not makes delicious food but gives back to the community. The real nuance is police standing around their cars downtown and not being fully engaged
Food vendors are an essential part of our community and in no way harm the public. This ordinance is such a reach and detrimental to many small businesses
These baseless attacks on small businesses by the city are killing people's livelihoods. I would love to see the city work with businesses to ensure the safety of Orlando residents while allowing them to thrive, rather than using them as a scapegoat to avoid fixing the real issues behind downtown's problems.
Because I believe regulating food trucks in the city of Orlando hinders the ability of artists to share their art and takes away from the culture of the community.
It’s affecting hard working individuals livelihood
This petition is important because the ordinance is unjust and negatively affects the local community at large, as well as small businesses who are the heart of the community.
As a small business owner I understand how hard it is to stand out and earn business with having so much competition and for some to stand out means to offer food after midnight. Also as someone who sometimes has no choice but to eat after midnight and having limited options available, I’d honestly rather eat real food at food trucks rather than your usual fast food.
My friends livelihoods
Keeps small businesses operating in local communities
I am writing to advocate for allowing local business owners who traditionally operate past 12 AM—particularly those located outside downtown areas—to continue their operations without being subjected to the recently imposed restrictions.
The tragic events that occurred in Orlando are deeply concerning, but they stem from broader societal issues that should not unfairly impact small businesses operating responsibly in our community. These establishments are vital contributors to our local economy, providing jobs, services, and safe spaces for residents.
Associating all businesses with incidents that occurred in specific areas not only misrepresents the situation but also places an undue burden on those who are striving to build and sustain their livelihoods. Rather than enforcing restrictive policies, I encourage the adoption of targeted safety measures and community-focused initiatives that address the root causes of such issues.
I urge you to reconsider this decision and work with local business owners to create a balanced solution that supports both public safety and the prosperity of our small business community.
Some people don’t have places to eat after the club, work or during a graveyard shift.
Great place and great that it stays open late for 2nd/3rd shift workers
I live downtown and the food trucks are some peoples source of income which generate money during the night hours.
As someone who works downtown, sometimes i get extremely tired from work (leaving around 2am) and have nowhere to get food, i love being able to go to certain food spots that are open later because i can energize and go home safely since i live 40 minutes out the way.
As a citizen of Orlando we should not all be disciplined because of heinous acts from problematic individuals. That is why we have law enforcement this solely just takes away from the COMMUNITY and SMALL BUSINESSES. Not nightlife, that will only continue.
Vendors who are outside of downtown should not be affected due to downtown shootings. It was a kid who shot off the gun not a food truck vendor who was miles away. Food trucks give people time to sober up, eat some good food, build community, and supporting a small local business should be the cities priority. NOT forcing them to close earlier.
Food trucks are a staple for the culture of orlando
I look forward to all the food trucks no matter the time or area. It’s my favorite thing as a foodie.
Food trucks are the happiness of all. They bring great communities together all while supporting smaller businesses.
How does a food truck being open past 12am endanger the city and its citizens? I’ll wait. Never once has a crime of violence or tragedy came from a food truck being open after midnight. let Orlando food truck venders continue to bring culture and authenticity to this city. they make a bigger contribution to our community than given credit for.
Food trucks should be allowed to run the hours they see fit for profit for the business and the community. Maxtros is such a great late night bite and brings people together!
You’ll cost hundreds of people money during prime sale hours
