I spend 56 dollars per week insurance premium for my wife and I. I make 24/hour on my job. This is average pay for this area of TN. The insurance pays 80/20 1,400 deductible & 5,400 out of pocket. My wife hasn't been in 20 years, for anything. I went this year, first time in 6 years, physical, ct scan with definition for a pain in my abdomen which has gone away and test didn't reveal anything. Colonoscopy scheduled but received yet. My cost so far out of pocket 700$. 3,600 so far this year. My taxes paid on average 40 hour paycheck is about 125/ week.

To the point, I'd rather pay more in taxes to help other people that can't afford healthcare. We exist to help other people. The human race will not prosper with the me me attitude. A healthy community better. We must do something.

Health insurance and healthcare need to be taken out of the corporate realm of profits.

Sorry I'm a bit long winded on this.
Good luck, you have my support.

As a healthcare professional with experience in both pre-hospital emergency settings and hospital environments, I believe that the absence of universal healthcare access for Americans has detrimental effects on societal cohesion and individual health. The resulting harm to families and patients, as well as the excessive costs incurred by society, create significant challenges.
