The original intent of protecting this historical landmark for the benefit Lebanon residents should be respected. It is the right thing to do.

I have played gold there for over thirty years and the place has a historic identity in the area.

First golf course I ever played on

The Upper Valley needs public golf courses.

Because Carter is a local historic site and important to our city.

I play at this course and it's been there a long time.

It is important because growing up in Lebanon there is a lot of outside activities that can get kids out of there house. For me having Carter kept me extremely busy and healthy. My biggest urge to keep this open would be to realize the outlet that you’d be taking away for not only kids but mature grown up individuals that need to be outside in nature doing something they love

My family has deep roots in the Upper Valley. Some of my fondest memories of my dad (Paul “Cricket Young, a Lebanon, NH native) are playing in the Legion Golf Tournament at Carter. It’s beloved by many, and there are many future generations to enjoy in the future!

I love having Carter as a parent (son plays golf), for myself and for our community. The tournaments to raise money as important. It brings in a way to bring people together and exercise at the same time

My husband and son love this golf course! My husband golfs there almost everyday from spring until fall/winter closing. He also works maintaining the grounds at this course and helps to run the weekly mens league. He has been golfing at Carter for 20+ years. Please don’t take this course away from them.

My grandson, Sam, a sophomore at Hartford High School, tried several sports and he discovered that golf is his passion. He had a season’s pass last year and hopes that the country club will be there for a very long time.

I grew up in Lebanon and still live in the area. The Carter Country Club is an iconic course that has benefitted literally thousands of people over it's 100 plus years of existence. It would be a terrible shame to lose such a historic course, much less what it offers to the community.

I play golf weekly at Carter, but more importantly, it is a place I take my kids to spend a fun day with dad. Playing golf is a mental wellbeing exercise for me, something many of us need these days.

I am very fond of Carter Country Club.

My son has learned to play golf here and enjoys going there throughout the summer months. It is a green space amongst lots of concrete. A haven for many.

I am a local golfer and play at carter every week. I run a league there and it is a great social gathering for us all as well as getting some exercise and playing a fun game. Carter is a very important place for many people. It should never be torn down and we placed with a development.

I would like to see historical places protected and preserved. In addition Carter Country Club is a beautiful green space in the city of Lebanon that serves many local people and is part of what makes our community unique.. Finally, it is important to me because I live in the neighborhood abutting the property and the development would frankly be an eyesore, not to mention increase the traffic on Route 4 significantly.

I grew up in Lebanon and my family members, friends and myself have played there many times. Please don't ruin this great asset to Lebanon and it's kids

This is our last fully public golf course to the area of Lebanon. It’s taught many locals and even outsiders the game of golf. It’s been great for all levels of golfers and continues to do well in this community.

I grew up learning and playing golf at this course. It is the only one left in the center of the upper valley and a vital resource to residents and visitors of the upper valley.

I have played this course for 40 years. Growing up our parents dropped us off at 7 am and picked us up at 5pm. It was a place where kids could safely hang out with friends, learn hot to play golf and stay off the streets and out of trouble Wanting to develop this historic property into housing or some other eyesore for the sake of making a buck is shameful. This is the only 9 hole Ross course in NH and it is a landmark. If the developer had any heart at all for all of the lives this course has touched in the last 100 years, they would show respect to the people of Lebanon and fight to preserve the great history this course holds.

Preserve Lebanon history and this 100 year landmark. It is important that we honor the clear wishes of Mr. Goodwin when he deeded this property to be a golf course in perpetuity!

Carter Country Club holds immense historical and cultural significance. The golf course provides a unique and enjoyable experience for both beginners and avid golfers alike. Its longevity and contribution to the Lebanon community make it an invaluable asset that should be preserved and cherished rather than shut down.
