I fought long and hard to get my top surgery at UNMH and all people should have access to their care without having to jump through hoops like taking out loans or traveling thousands of miles. UNMH has an outstanding surgeon providing this care and they need to continue caring for ALL patients. Medical providers swear an oath to care for all and do no harm. UNMH is responsible for upholding our values as a people. New Mexico is one of the safest states for transgender and gender non-conforming people so we have a duty to ensure care is readily available.
