The 610 Old York conditional use drive-through proposal prioritizes car traffic over our community for private interests- undermining our community's health, children’s safety, neighborhood character, and well-being through unnecessary traffic loading to and from a commercial drive-through via Spring Ave ingress and egress.
Reason
- Today's Spring Ave / Rodman Ave / 611 intersection is dysfunctional and cannot handle additional vehicular traffic, as noted in the Jenkintown traffic report dated October 3, performed by Mark E. Bickerton, PE, Borough Traffic Engineer.
- 611 is a commercial road and must be used as the sole entry and exit to and from this commercial business. Our neighborhood streets are not a private business gateway.
