Ahmadreza Djalali, a researcher on disaster medicine, having been born in Iran and resided in Sweden for most of his life, has been wrongfully detained and sentenced to death by the Iranian government, who have also denied Djalali a fair trial as well as essential medical care, since 2016. This petition urges the Swedish government to fight to free a citizen, Djalali.

Djalali, a Swedish-Iranian Scholar of Disaster Medicine, has been wrongfully accused of spying on Iran with no evidence to support this claim. Officials have put him in solitary confinement and sentenced him to death. He has been denied medical treatment and legal representation and subjected to psychological and physical torture.
