La pétition est adressée à : Any Alaskan resident
Sign and show your support for public broadcasting. Help us tell our leaders that in Alaska, NPR-affiliated public radio stations are not just sources of news—they are vital communication lifelines.
This is especially in remote communities where other forms of media and infrastructure can be unreliable. Many rural areas lack consistent internet or cell service, making radio the most dependable and accessible way for residents to receive timely information. Stations like KYUK in Bethel and KOTZ in Kotzebue broadcast in Native languages and provide essential services such as weather alerts, emergency notifications, school closings, subsistence hunting and fishing updates, and community announcements. These stations help bridge vast geographic distances and keep communities informed, connected, and safe—particularly during natural disasters or extreme weather events.

Our senator just ignored Alaskans when she voted for the BBB and I just want her and our other leaders to see Alaskans support public broadcasting.

Public radio broadcasting in Alaska is a lifeline to many of not all Alaskan communities including mine KEUL 88.9. It is essential that we continue funding for public radio.
