Petition addressed to: Mobile City Council

The reopening of battleship parkway and rivers or bayous is a whole new beginning and more of an efficient way to make a living catching blue crabs for our locals and community not only does it open more waters but also gives us a better opportunity to spread out and have more areas to catch crabs.

Reason

During colder months crabs tend to stay up in rivers and deep in bayous especially where it’s much deeper and muddy everything north of battleship parkway is closed down due to sanctuary of crabs were only allowed to crab south of battleship parkway which crabs rarely flush out past hwy 90 and interstate I-10 we need a bigger chance to be able to catch crabs to support our families months out the year we go without making pay checks because areas are closed where crab stay.

Thank you so much for your support, Blue crabbers, Grandbay

Why people sign

Because Waterman and our local fisherman matter and need every break they can get that makes sense.

The seafood industry is our way of life down here and our families way of living and paying the bills and puts food on our tables

It will help open more waterways for commercial blue crab fisherman and have a chance to make a better living when times are ruff and crabs move up in colder deeper water

Please open our land. All other states have rights to their rivers. We should to.

Opening these water to allow blue crabbers to work, would allow more families to live more comfortable and bring more blue crabs to the gulf coast.
