Petition addressed to: Commissioner, Sean M. Parks

The expansion of a worship facility onto 3.8 adjacent acres of established residential land could significantly and negatively affect our residential neighborhood through increased traffic, noise, infrastructure strain, pedestrian safety concerns, environmental and health impacts on surrounding wellheads and groundwater, and changes to community character. I believe residents deserve careful consideration of these potential impacts before any rezoning decision is made.

Reason

As a concerned resident, I am worried that the proposed Community Facility District rezoning of a 3.8 acre residential parcel in order to expand a 4.43 acre worship center could permanently change the character of our neighborhood by establishing a commercial scale facility within the residential neighborhood. The information provided to residents indicates potential negative impacts including increased traffic congestion, higher accident risks, noise from frequent events and activities, strain on local infrastructure, and reduced pedestrian safety near homes, sidewalks, and school bus stops.
I am also concerned about the possible environmental effects identified in the proposal materials, including the loss of green space, wellhead and groundwater contamination, increased stormwater runoff, disruption of wildlife habitat, and additional vehicle emissions that may affect local air quality. These issues could influence the quality of life that current residents expect in a primarily residential area.
Furthermore, the flyer notes concerns regarding property values, emergency response delays caused by increased congestion, and the potential for future non-residential development once agricultural land is rezoned. Because rezoning decisions can have long-term consequences for a community, I believe a thorough review and meaningful public input are essential before any final decision is made.
For these reasons, I respectfully ask decision-makers to carefully consider the concerns of nearby residents and the potential impact on neighborhood safety, residential character, infrastructure, and the environment before approving the rezoning request.

Why people sign

We need to stop the spread of Islam in our Christian country!

Because that does not belong in our Country.

We are already overloaded with homes, businesses and shops. The area should be left alone, we don't need any additional places.

We are a Christian nation.
Plus with everything ai am seeing about the Islamic take over in other countries and American states ...it has to stop.
Jesus is King

Islam denies women equal rights. Sharia law is a religious based form of brutal punishment and is their basis for controlling the masses. It does not work with other governing bodies and has no place in our community.
Loud speaker prayer multiple times per day (everyday) is another form of control. Daily loud speaker disruption telling the public that they are here and do not have to conform to our laws or democratic system based on equal rights.
Look at other states that have allowed this. Sharia law is unconstitutional!
