Small & Medium Size Business Entrepreneurship in the US is under attack.
With the new DOGE announcement of their infiltration of the Small Business Administration office, they are misrepresenting the success of the SBA Loan program and in particular the SBA 7(a) Loan Program.
The SBA 7(a) is one of the most incredible, unique and successful tools as it relates to supporting entrepreneurship in the acquisition and transition of Main Street businesses from one generation of entrepreneurs to another. If the 7(a) program is discontinued, it will negatively impact an entire generation of hard working Small Business owners, and curtail the future of entrepreneurship in the US.
If we do not band together and support the SBA and in particular the 7(a) program - telling Elon Musk and DOGE that they are intentionally wrong in their assessment and desire to systematically dismantle the program - Main Streets will continue to be decimated, jobs will be lost and entrepreurial dreams will be crushed.

The US was founded by entrepreneurs - let's keep their dreams alive.

Save the opportunity for retiring sellers to cash out and allow main street buyers to remain, not just elites and Private Equity.
I use this program to purchase small businesses, due to the long amortization. Without it, lots of businesses can only be sold to PE's due to shorter term normal commercial loans
The SBA 7(a) program is a lifeblood to Main Street businesses. The program supports itself with the fees collected from borrowers. Lets keep it going so small businesses can continue to thrive and create more jobs.
I acquired a business via a 7a loan. These loans not only make it worthwhile for an entrepreneur to start and build a business, they make it possible for another entrepreneur to buy that business. This program pays for itself - exactly the type of government program we need!!
