Petition addressed to: University

Generative Ai is ruining the environment and is stealing artistic material. The promotion and use of Ai should not be allowed on our campus especially in the Myers art building.

Reason

This is important so that Spaai can see how many SUNY Plattsburgh students and professors want Ai generated posters and art work promoting clubs or events removed from the Myers art building or even campus as a whole.

Thank you so much for your support, S.P.A.A.I, plattsburgh

Why people sign

I believe AI to be extremely unethical in numerous ways and it does not belong in any educational institution.

Seeing all of the AI generated content fill my school is infuriating, especially given that we have an arts department that often struggles for funding. Additionally, the socioenvironmental impact that generative ai is creating in the world at large is scary, with all of the damage that it causes.

Ai is destroying our environment and putting artists out of work. It's a dangerous plague slowly taking over our lives.

I hate ai

A.I is destroying the environment, and does not belong advertising art.
