Control speed on Abbott, Smithwood, and Heath/Spence Streets with a combination of a four way stop sign at Heath/Spence and Abbott, and speed bumps on all four streets.
Reason
I am raising a 4 year old granddaughter who we walk to school every day. Traffic is dangerous to the point that my granddaughter is not safe. All other pedestrians in the neighborhood are at severe risk of injury or death. Autos and trucks exceed the school speed limits with impunity. Drivers shout at pedestrians for walking across streets legally. It is a completely unsafe school environment.

Why people sign
I am a teacher at Spangler. When I am on yard duty near this location, I see many speeding cars and many parents trying to cross the street and dodge these cars.
Heath St has so many school kids, traffic is heavy on our street and speeders!! This has been going on for years! Speed bumpers or roundabouts are some solutions!
