Petition addressed to: Cannon County Zoning Board
We are asking the Cannon County zoning commission to vote NO on the expansion of Smyrna Ready Mix in Cannon County.
Smyrna Ready Mix has asked the county for permission to expand it's operations in the county. We, the people of Cannon County, would like to ask that this not be allowed.
The rock quarry is polluting the river, our source for drinking water through dust and debris in the river. It is damaging homes in the area with its blasts of dynamite. It is destroying the landscape of our beautiful county and creating an ugly scar on the landscape. It's dust permeates everything In the area especially HWY 70 and the homes nearby. The trucks present safety issues entering the highway. And there are many more issues to list.
We respectfully ask the planning commission to vote NO on the expansion. Keep Woodbury beautiful!
