The purpose of this petition is to formally request that the Department of Education (DBE) and Provincial Education departments (PEDs) review and adjust school admission policies to ensure that South African citizens are given priority placement in public schools, particularly in areas facing severe overcrowding and infrastructure backlogs.
Reason
Educational resources are scarce and we have a space crisis. Ensuring that the feeder zone principle is upheld, making sure that the Department of Education is held accountable for the infrastructure backlogs and that every learner has the equal opportunity to quality education.
