I wanted to provide an update after the City Council meeting last night. At this time, fluoride will continue to be added to the water in Monroe. The council members needed a supermajority to suspend the rules regarding the change to the ordinance about fluoride in Monroe's water and this was not achieved. Your signatures helped us display support for water fluoridation by the residents of Monroe. The topic of fluoride will continue to be discussed by the Board of Public Works and could be revisited by the council in the future. I encourage everyone to follow the available agendas, meeting minutes, and videos to stay informed about this issue and the other issues happening in the City of Monroe.
