Our pier petition results and grassroots polling have indicated an overwhelming pro-pier support. However, it's still our opinion that some of the town commissioners are opposed to having the pier and/or pier building repaired and reopened. Based on an outline provided by the town attorney at the last board of commissioners meeting (10/15/24), there are questions related to the legal requirements of the town in relation to the PARTF grant agreement. If their intentions are to remove the pier and/or pier building, return the grant, or sell the property - then we should all have some grave concerns. We are having a sunset social on Friday, November 15th from 5-7 pm at the Holden Beach Marina. We encourage you to come ask questions, meet your neighbors, and learn how to get involved with our organization.
