Sky News Arabia — half-owned by Comcast/Sky — has repeatedly broadcast RSF propaganda denying and whitewashing genocide and glorify rape supporters while Darfur civilians were massacred. Demand an independent review and immediate governance action.

Obrazloženje

To:
Mr. Brian L. Roberts, Chairman & CEO, Comcast Corporation
Mr. Michael J. Cavanagh, President, Comcast Corporation
Ms. Kimberley D. Harris, Executive Vice President, Comcast Corporation
Mr. Thomas J. Reid, Chief Legal Officer, Comcast Corporation
Ms. Dana Strong, Group CEO, Sky
Mr. David Rhodes, Executive Chairman, Sky News Group

In El-Fasher, North Darfur, Rapid Support Forces (RSF) fighters executed more than 460 wounded patients and their families inside hospital beds. The World Health Organization called it one of the worst hospital massacres in modern history. Doctors were shot in the head while treating children. Entire displacement camps were shelled and burned.

While the world watched in horror, one news channel called this “liberation.”

That channel is Sky News Arabia – 50% owned by your company, Comcast/Sky, operating under your brand, governed by your board representatives, and protected by your editorial oversight committees.

Your correspondent, Tsabih Mubarak Khatir, broadcast live from RSF-occupied El-Fasher, smiling as she described the militia’s takeover as a heroic advance – hours after verified video showed RSF troops executing patients. The same correspondent publicly embraced and congratulated an RSF female commander who openly called for the mass rape of Sudanese women to “purify their lineages.”

This is not a rogue reporter. This is systematic.
Sky News Arabia has:
•  Repeatedly aired raw RSF propaganda footage without disclosure
•  Blamed Sudanese Armed Forces for strikes that satellite imagery and forensic analysis prove were carried out by the RSF
•  Hosted UAE-funded commentators who describe the RSF as a “professional, modern force” while calling Sudan’s internationally recognized government a “remnant regime”

This is not journalism.
This is genocide whitewashing, paid for in part by Comcast shareholders and broadcast under the Sky logo.

The United Arab Emirates – the RSF’s primary financial and military backer – owns the other 50% through Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed’s International Media Investments. Your joint venture has become the media façade for UAE-backed atrocities that have killed hundreds of thousands and displaced over 10 million people.

The Sky brand, once respected, is now a curse word across the Arabic-speaking world. Mothers in Darfur call Sky News Arabia “Ganat al-Ightisab” – the Rape Channel – because of the female RSF commander your correspondent glorified.

You cannot hide behind “editorial independence.” You have board seats. You have governance rights. You license the brand. You take 50% of the profits. That means you bear 50% of the blood.

History is watching.
The world is watching.
We are watching.

We, the undersigned demand that Comcast and Sky immediately:
1.  Publicly acknowledge Sky News Arabia’s systematic propaganda and bias in its Sudan coverage since April 2023
2.  Exercise your full governance rights to end the RSF-aligned disinformation campaign today
3.  Commission a fully independent external review (led by reputable organizations such as the Committee to Protect Journalists or Reporters Without Borders) of all Sky News Arabia’s Sudan output since the war began
4.  Take disciplinary action – up to and including termination – against executives and correspondents responsible for ethical violations, starting with Tsabih Mubarak Khatir
5.  Ensure all future coverage meets international journalistic standards, not the political demands of a co-owner actively arming a genocidal militia
If you remain silent, your silence will be recorded as complicity.
The people of Sudan are being slaughtered while your channel calls their killers heroes.
Stop funding genocide denial.
End this partnership with evil.
We will not stop until you act.

Zašto ljudi potpisuju

Sudanese people pain is neglected due to big media platforms trying to cover atrocities commited against us . Big media funded by UAE enabled the RSF in comitting genocide against civilians in Sudan by covering it up .

Call to hold media power accountable for whitewashing atrocities in Sudan.
To press Comcast and Sky—co-owners of Sky News Arabia—to stop using their platforms to sanitize the image of the Rapid Support Forces (#RSF) and the #UAE, despite their documented role in war crimes and acts of genocide against the Sudanese people.

I’m originally Sudanese and El fasher is my city I have been there also I known what happened since 2003 by RSF ( janjeed) , RsF is criminal all the world should know .

It's to help end the war in my country
