To the Members of the Board of Education:
We, the undersigned parents, guardians, students, staff, and community members of Marshall Pomeroy Elementary School, urgently call upon the Board of Education to reverse the administrative decision to remove Principal Nichol Klein from her position. This decision — made without public explanation or community input — threatens to dismantle the very leadership that has made Marshall Pomeroy a place where every child can thrive.
We are not simply asking you to reconsider. We are demanding that the voices of hundreds of families who trust this school with their children's futures be heard.
Why Principal Nichol Klein Is Irreplaceable
Under Principal Klein's leadership, Marshall Pomeroy has seen remarkable growth and transformation:
• A safe, inclusive, and nurturing school culture where students feel seen, valued, and motivated to learn.
• Open and transparent communication with families — Principal Klein maintains an open door policy that has built deep trust within our school community.
• Dedicated support for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring that no child is left behind or overlooked.
• A motivated and supported staff who consistently go above and beyond because they feel respected and heard.
• A strong sense of community pride and belonging — Marshall Pomeroy has become more than a school; it is a family.
The Impact of This Decision on Our Children
Replacing an effective, beloved principal — or without just cause — causes real and lasting harm to children. Research consistently shows that school leadership stability is one of the most critical factors in student achievement and well-being. Our children have already formed bonds of trust with Principal Klein. To remove her without explanation sends a deeply troubling message to every student: that the adults in charge of their future do not have to answer to them or their families.
We refuse to accept that outcome for our children.

Our Formal Requests to the Board
As members of the Marshall Pomeroy community, we respectfully but firmly request that the Board of Education:
1. Immediately reinstate Principal Nichol Klein to her role at Marshall Pomeroy Elementary School.
2. Publicly disclose the specific reasons behind this administrative decision so that our community may respond with full information.
3. Guarantee that no further action affecting our school's leadership will be taken without meaningful community engagement.
4. Meet with parent and staff representatives in an open forum to hear our concerns directly.
Principal Klein did not just manage our school — she championed our children. Every signature on this petition represents a family who has witnessed her dedication firsthand. We implore you: do not discard that trust without cause, without transparency, and without listening to the community you serve.

Mrs.Klein has taken care of Pomeroy and the students very well. She took care of the Pomeroy students and families as if they were her own families and always made sure that the students education and safety came first.
