As a coach I think everyone should have a chance to play at a competitive level.

My daughter is 9 yrs old and the sport has provided so many great opportunities and lifelong connections. It is a fantastic community and a girls cshl team would be a fantastic opportunity for girls in the community.

Girls need every opportunity possible to engage in athletics.

I played girls hockey in Minnesota and it led to great life experiences through playing in high school, college and then in adult leagues after school. It was a safe and encouraging space with strong women! The hockey community is great but could do more to support our young girls!

Girls are just as important as boys for hockey - let’s support them. It is our obligation as a community to provide the same opportunities as boys to grow in this sport in our neighborhood.

I would like to see Independence schools get more children boys and girls involved in hockey its such a great sport. We have young children going to other suburbs and would be great to get teams started right here in Independence for all ages.
