QT will not be a locally owned business that employs locals, and will not create material benefit to the local community.
I live in Evergreen care about preserving historic buildings and our small town character. I would rather the building be turned into a food hall.
I do not want extra semi-truck traffic in our quaint town that we love so much
Local resident opposing truck stop
its important to preserve places like this & not turn them into commercial buildings.
El Rancho is a historic. lovely part of the landscape. I'd love to see it reopen as a restaurant but if not a visitor's center, gift shop for the Evengreen/Red Rocks area. There is absolutely NO REASON for a Quik Trip or other corporate gas station in this location.
This is a small town that needs empty parking lots like el ranch and does not need more trucks on out very tiny infrastructure.
We don’t need another gas station. It doesn’t serve our community. Rl Rancho should have a historic designation
We need to keep places that have been there for decades. Why do we always have to destroy everything that is dear to native hearts.
El Ranco is a beautiful historic building and was a great restaurant, we have fond memories of dining there.
My parents got married there.
I have great memories of dining with my family at El Rancho. The building is of historic value and needs to be designated as such. It's a shame so much development has occurred in this area. Used to be a beautiful spot, don't continue to ruin it.
Important historical site
El Rancho holds a special place in my heart and it is a place that I want preserved so I can continue to cherish it with my family and friends.
I've enjoyed El Rancho for years, birthdays, etc. It's part of history. We need to keep some of our history don't we!! To remember good times instead of all this crap we have to deal with now!!!
I’m a native of Colorado and remember taking out of town visitors due to El Rancho’s western atmosphere!
My ex-boyfriend’s house was built by the same guy who built El Rancho. It had that same lo cabin look. It was destroyed to make way for the Evergreen Express.
No reason to destroy a Colorado icon for a few bucks.
I believe we need to preserve a historic treasure, such as this building. Have you spoken to the Jefferson County Historical Commission? They had started the process of having the building receive historic designation a few years back. Maybe they could get involved again.
My father worked here in the 1960s as a bartender. El Rancho holds a place in my heart as child, young adult, short term resident in Evergreen and born in Colorado person. The last thing that needs is another gas station. Keep it in place and preserve it.
el rancho is historic and should be preserved. the new
development will be an eyesore and not
needed
we do not need a truck stop in evergreen
The proposed development is not going to benefit the surrounding area and its inhabitants, flora and fauna.
Historic site that has been associated with Evergreen for years is being destroyed Proposed development only serves I70 and changes the character of our community. A truck stop should be situated where there isn’t a residential community. There already is a gas station at that intersection and a hotel that are more in keeping with the local flavor.
El Rancho has been a historic mark in the community. We don't need another gas stop when we already have options.
I have lived here my whole life and its just apart of evergreen.
This property has been here dor so many years. It would not attract many as there are easier and better options both east and west of evergreen. Destroying or moving ElRancho to satisfy this mans greedy hopes doesnt fit in with evergreens character
I do not want to see a truck stop at the intersection planned. The congestion and construction would destroy the beauty and flow of the area. There are better places to locate the fuel facility.
Preserve Evergreen heritage. Avoid unnecessary hindrances to local residents.
Too many large trucks exiting at Evergreen
We moved from New York and had many choices on where to relocate. We chose Evergreen because we fell in love with this unique mountain community. We need to preserve the mountain community and historic character of Evergreen. I appreciate your effort in starting this campaign. We are ready to support you in this effort.
El Rancho has been there since I can remember. It should be a historical place!
