Petition is addressed to: The Florida State Legislature
We, the undersigned, urge the Florida State Legislature and Governor Ron DeSantis, in accordance with Article VIII, Section 1 of the Florida Constitution to create Florida's 68th County - Trump County.
The geography of the county shall be: the entirety of the coastal barrier islands, commencing with the northern point of Anastasia Island, terminating at the southern end of Ponce Inlet. The county will be separated from the mainland from the west by the Matanzas River and Halifax River.
Reason
President Trump is a once-in-a-generation leader, a master dealmaker, real estate titan, and the greatest president of our time. As the first president to call Florida home, it’s time we honor his extraordinary legacy by establishing Florida’s 68th county.
This new county demands an extraordinary canvas, so we’re proposing a stunning 60-mile stretch of Northeast Florida’s pristine coastline.
Coastal communities have unique priorities that differ from those of inland communities. Chief amongst those priorities is storm preparation and beach management. Therefore, it only makes sense for these communities to pool their resources and tax dollars.
While the initiative is daunting, we take inspiration from Charlie Kirk. If Charlie built a powerhouse of an organization starting from his garage as an 18 year old - anything is possible. And who better to name our new county after than Charlie's friend and the ultimate disrupter and drainer of the swamp - Florida's own President Trump.
