Petition was submitted
on 02 Aug 2026Hello all!
I wanted to follow-up with the status of the petition for a Residential Permit Parking Zone. I was hoping to have more substantial news, but the summary is that we are still waiting.I handed in the petition in-person to the Transportation Division on July 3 and followed up via email on July 17. Here was the response I received:
I apologize for the delayed response. We have had a large number of requests come into our office over the past several weeks, and I appreciate your patience.
Thank you for following up regarding the Residential Permit Parking petition you submitted on July 3.
I will be reviewing the petition signatures soon to verify that the required percentage of affected properties has been met. Once that review is complete, I will determine whether we can move forward with scheduling the parking occupancy study, which is the next step in evaluating the proposed Residential Permit Parking zone.
I appreciate the time and effort you and your neighbors have put into organizing the petition. I will follow up with you once I have completed the signature review and can provide an update on the next steps.
Thank you again for your patience.Hopefully we will hear back soon with some good news. If you have any questions for me, you can contact me through the link on the petition.

Hello! We currently have 23 signatures! Based on my estimates, we should only need 7 more to have the 25% requirement to submit the petition. I am working with the city to confirm this, and to be safe we are aiming for 40 signatures.
PLEASE talk to your neighbors and reshare the petition so we can get this moving!
Thank you for your support and comments. It is clear that this is a huge pain for many of us, and residential permits could really help us out. -
