With the backing of 50% of the homeowners at Parkview at Lakeshore we can start the impeachment process of our current board members

Reason

For years we’ve all had questions about the management of our community; questions that have not been fully answered. Once again, after the CDD Board Members received an update that homeowners are now fighting back, they cancelled the CDD meeting as we all sat waiting for it to begin. 

We are proud of how homeowners and residents showed up today! We packed out the clubhouse!!! All to be turned away without an opportunity to give official public statements, again. But, we did get to meet as homeowners to discuss some discoveries. We’d like to make all residents aware and have some questions for you:

1. How are your households handling the recent property tax increases? What are you sacrificing to cover those increases?

2. Have you looked at your tax statement and do you understand it? It’s as simple as going to (https://county-taxes.net/osceola/property-tax (https://county-taxes.net/osceola/property-tax)) selecting property tax search, entering your name or property address and reviewing your statements. Pay special attention to the CDD section. 

3. Did you know the average CDD assessment in Florida is between $120 and $2,000 per year and that nearly every CDD assessment in our community ranges from $4,600 - $6,000 and that no property can be assessed for CDD at ZERO for any reason? 

4. One last question, did you know that per the tax documents, 3 of the 5 board members do not pay anything in CDD assessments? Zero. Not one penny.

5. Bonus question since we are on a roll here…did you know these very same CDD board members are responsible for calculating the CDD assessments for every home in the community, including their own?

Homeowners are committed to standing united to receive the transparency we deserve. There are MANY other areas of concern and grievances. We are happy to share them with every resident/homeowner. Our goal today is to start making the entire community aware. Stay turned for next steps as we seek justice for our community.
