Petition is addressed to: Wildrose School

“We, the undersigned, believe that transparency is a fundamental right in a democratic society. We are concerned about the lack of transparency on the Breton School remodeling and urge Wildrose school Division to take the necessary steps to improve openness.
“Over the past year, there have been several instances where decisions were made without public consultation”
---
**Specific Demands:**
1. **Open Meetings:** All meetings should be open to the public, with rare exceptions, and agendas should be published in advance. Separate meetings for this should be created.
2. **Accessible Records:** Ensure public access to meeting minutes, financial reports, and other significant documents.
3. **Public Consultation:** Engage the community in major decision-making processes.
4. **Regular Communication:** Implement regular updates or newsletters detailing actions, decisions, and reasons behind them. Attendees to be at all PAC meetings.
5. **Digital Access:** Create or improve a website or platform where the public can easily find information about activities, decisions, budgets, and give suggestions.
---
“Transparency ensures that power is used responsibly, builds trust between officials and the public, and promotes informed participation in governance."
---
**Conclusion/Call to Action:**
“We strongly urge Wildrose School Division to consider the demands listed above and to act promptly to enhance transparency for the betterment of our community."
