Petition addressed to: Zion Church Members

We respectfully ask the school and church leadership to reconsider adding a 5th grade at Zion Lutheran School for the upcoming school year.

Reason

Dear Members of the School Board,
We, the undersigned parents and guardians of students at Zion Lutheran School, respectfully submit this petition to request that the church and school leadership reconsider the addition of a 5th grade for the upcoming school year.
We are deeply grateful for the commitment the church has shown to providing a faith-centered education and for the work that goes into planning for the future of the school. As invested parents, we care greatly about the long-term health, sustainability, and mission of Zion Lutheran School.
We understand that adding this grade will involve some planning, but we believe it can be done smoothly without major disruption. With the school’s capable staff and existing resources, we are confident that 5th grade can be integrated seamlessly, continuing to provide the high-quality education and faith formation we value. We are excited about welcoming 5th graders and the positive contributions they will bring to our school community.
Our request comes from a place of support, collaboration, and shared desire to see Zion Lutheran School thrive. We respectfully ask the board and church leadership to reconsider this decision and to engage parents in ongoing dialogue as plans move forward.
Thank you for your time, consideration, and continued dedication to our children and school community.
Sincerely,
The Parents and Guardians of Zion School Kids
