The Rock Garden in Washington Park Michigan City Indiana

Petition addressed to: Mayor Angie Nelson Deuitch

The Rock Garden  has been neglected to a point of embarrassment. For example, “The paddle wheel no longer present, totally none functioning, the flag stone walk ways are fragmented with pieces of them missing, there was trash in stagnant green water, not to mention that flowerbed that borders the pools had not one flower visible anywhere, just nasty dirt and weeds. And once again the walk ways where so  fragmented that a senior citizen that uses a wheelchair or walker make it  impossible for them to walk and enjoy what use to be there, the seating benches through out the garden are next to impossible to sit on due to  all the over grown bushes.”

My plea to you as Major is to start fixing all of the  important monuments throughout Washington Park!
