This petition calls on the Mayor and administration of West Windsor Township to urgently address deteriorating road conditions and infrastructure within the township, with specific focus on New Village Road and North Post Road.
These are major arterial roads used daily by residents, school traffic, emergency services, and commuters. Both roads currently suffer from extensive potholes, uneven pavement, and poor surface conditions that have persisted over time and continue to worsen. In addition, several commercial and town libraries within the township show signs of declining maintenance and aging infrastructure.
The petition requests that the township prioritize repairs to these key roads, publish a transparent maintenance and resurfacing plan, and take concrete steps to improve overall infrastructure standards across West Windsor.

Reason

Safe and well-maintained infrastructure is fundamental to public safety, quality of life, and economic vitality. The current condition of New Village Road and North Post Road poses risks to drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and emergency response vehicles, while also causing vehicle damage and daily inconvenience to residents.
West Windsor Township is known for its high standards, strong community, and significant taxpayer contributions. Continued neglect of core infrastructure undermines this reputation and erodes public trust. Proactive maintenance is also more cost-effective than deferred repairs, which lead to higher long-term expenses.
This petition is important because it seeks timely, transparent action from local leadership to ensure that essential roadways and public spaces are safe, reliable, and maintained at the standard residents expect and deserve.
