The Department of Sports, Arts and culture recently released outcomes that showed only 23 NPOs funded out of the 152 funded Projects, the rest being PTY LTDs. "Impact Over Profit": Emphasizes the public benefit focus of NPOs versus the profit-driven nature of PTY LTDs.

- *"NPOs: Driving Social Change"*: Focuses on the role of NPOs in addressing social issues and promoting community development.
- *"Comparing Paths to Impact: NPOs vs. PTY LTDs"*: Encourages comparison and understanding of the different goals and outcomes of NPOs and PTY LTDs.
Reason
We would like to plead that the funding model be re-designed and reconsiderations be done to consider funding more NPOs that PTY LTDs because NPOs are public benefit organisations and most of them are situated in communities where the poorest of the poor reside. We are also advocating for more rural projects funding.

on 02 Sep 2025We would like to thank you for signing the petition. On the 1st of September, Gauteng United Artists movement submitted a memorandum at The Department of Sports, Arts and culture, attached this petition.
We appreciate all your support, after 7 working days from the 1st of September, we will get a response from The Department which will in turn inform our next step. Till then, lets pray and hope for the best outcomes.
