Hello everyone,
I wanted to share one final update now that the Stephenson to Danforth GO petition has reached its closing stage.
First, thank you. Every signature, comment, shared story and conversation helped demonstrate that safe and accessible access to Danforth GO matters to our community. The petition is no longer accepting new signatures, and the final petition record has been provided to Councillor Brad Bradford's office as part of the project record. The petition page will remain available as a resource for anyone who wants to learn more about the initiative.
Since the City has now approved and funded the feasibility study for the proposed Stephenson Avenue to Danforth GO pedestrian connection, the focus is moving into the next stage: understanding what is technically and practically possible and what the future steps could look like. Going forward, the OpenPetition page will no longer be used for project updates. I’ve created one dedicated communication channel so that anyone who wants to stay informed can receive meaningful news and milestones as the project progresses.

I’ll only send updates when there is meaningful news to share. This has never been about politics or about everyone agreeing on everything. It is about something much simpler: regardless of our age, background, beliefs or how we vote, we all want to feel safe getting home, getting to work, getting our children around, using transit and living in a community we are proud of.
Thank you for helping make that concern heard.
Kind regards,
Dan Balcaban
