Roundabout is coming to US 12 in Morton. We are opposing this and are creating petition against it for the citizens of Morton Washington. We do not want this roundabout and we’re asking WSDOT to cancel plans for this catastrophic idea

Roundabout coming to US 12 in Morton we’d like to oppose this initiative regarding WSDOT officials that have plans to build this roundabout on Highway 12 state Route seven this would lead to major traffic problems and accidents and alternative could be a traffic light

While safety is a shared priority for the Morton community, the current proposal for a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of U.S. Highway 12 and State Route 7 presents significant logistical challenges that outweigh its perceived benefits:
Freight and Large Vehicle Mobility: This intersection is a critical artery for the logging and trucking industries. Despite "truck aprons," navigating a tight roundabout with oversized loads increases the risk of trailer off-tracking, potential rollovers, and significant delays for the commercial drivers who power our local economy.
