Give Iranian Restaurants the Opportunity to Join the MICHELIN Guide حسین عطار جان‌نثار نوبری

Iran has a rich and diverse culinary heritage, with distinctive regional cuisines, traditional cooking techniques, local ingredients, talented chefs and restaurants across the country.
Despite this diversity, Iran currently has no national MICHELIN Guide selection. Iranian restaurants should have the opportunity to be considered for inclusion in the MICHELIN Guide and to demonstrate their quality through an independent international evaluation.
This petition was initiated by Hossein Attar Jannesar Nobari (حسین عطار جان‌نثار نوبری).

The request is not for guaranteed MICHELIN Stars, Bib Gourmands or recommendations. Any distinction should be determined entirely by MICHELIN’s own independent evaluation process.

We ask the Iranian authorities to establish appropriate communication with the MICHELIN Guide, examine the practical requirements for coverage in Iran, and explore whether Iran could become a future MICHELIN Guide destination.
Greater international recognition of Iranian restaurants could strengthen culinary tourism, increase the visibility of Iranian chefs and restaurants, and introduce the diversity of Iranian cuisine to a wider international audience.

The first step is simple: Iranian restaurants should have the opportunity to be considered.
