Nepal is at risk of missing the 2026 SAFF Championship because of the ongoing FIFA suspension. We call on ANFA, all concerned stakeholders, and FIFA to work urgently to complete the required governance and administrative reforms so that Nepal’s suspension can be lifted before the tournament. Nepal’s players and supporters should not suffer because of administrative disputes.
Reason
Thousands of Nepali football fans have waited years to see the national team compete at the highest level in South Asia. Missing the SAFF Championship due to administrative issues would be a huge setback for players, coaches, and millions of supporters. We urge everyone involved to prioritize Nepali football and resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
