Good Afternoon,
Thank you again for signing the petition to make the Jupiter Inlet safe and navigable. Your support has already pushed this issue onto the District’s agenda.  As you know, due to the lack of progress, we shifted focus a few months ago to improve the capability of the District Board of Commissioners and we found an excellent candidate - Ed Kawecki.

If you live in the Jupiter Inlet District, you have a chance to elect someone who will treat this problem with the urgency it deserves. If you are 100% satisfied with the performance of the current board, then you should vote for the incumbent. If not, please vote for Ed on August 18th. Early Voting is well underway and it will take about 10,000 votes to win.  As dedicated users of the inlet, we need to Restore the Jupiter Inlet.

Ed Kawecki is running for Jupiter Inlet District Board, Seat 4. He has lived on the Loxahatchee River for decades and transited the inlet more than a thousand times.  He has a PhD in Fluid Mechanics and is a Civil Engineer.  He has led large engineering teams and can work at a technical level with the Districts engineers and the Army Corps.   Ed’s goal is to create a virtuous upward cycle that restores safe navigation to the Jupiter Inlet, restore the natural flow of sand to the south and do it at a lower costs.

The best way for you to help is:

  1. Vote for Ed Kawecki for Jupiter Inlet District Board (Seat 4).
  2. Forward this email (or simply tell) your friends, family, and fellow boaters who care about a safe inlet.

You can learn more about Ed here:

Thank you for staying engaged on this issue.
Best regards,
