As you know, we shifted from attempting to influence the Jupiter Inlet District board to finding new leadership for the board in hopes we could add some technical acumen and a bias for action.
Because of your support, Ed Kawecki has been elected to the Jupiter Inlet District Board, Seat 4.
Unofficial results with all 89 precincts reporting:
- Ed Kawecki — 10,914 votes (55.25%)
- Gail P. Whipple — 8,839 votes (44.75%)
Ed has a PhD in Fluid Mechanics and is a Civil Engineer. He has lived on the Loxahatchee River for 40+ years and cares deeply restoring the Jupiter Inlet. Your signatures, conversations, posts, and votes moved that from a petition to a public mandate.
Ed’s job now is to deliver:
- Navigable, Safer more reliable inlet access
- More frequent, public depth surveys
- A serious plan restore the natural flow of sand to the south.
