Extension of ActiveSG Bukit Batok Gym to 10pm

Many residents work long hours, have family commitments or only have time to exercise later in the evening. An additional 30 minutes would provide greater flexibility for these users to complete their workouts without having to rush.

More importantly, All ActiveSG Gyms operates until 10:00 p.m, with only Bukit Batok and Kallang Basin gym an exception. Extending Bukit Batok's operating hours to the same time would provide greater consistency between these nearby ActiveSG facilities and give residents more equitable access to ActiveSG's facilities.

We understand that operating hours involve staffing, security and operational considerations. We are therefore not asking for a major change—only a 30-minute extension to 10:00 p.m., bringing Bukit Batok in line with the later operating hours available at nearby facilities.

This will encourage more residents to maintain regular exercise habits;
Provide greater convenience for Bukit Batok residents;
Bring the facility's operating hours more closely in line with nearby ActiveSG gyms; and
Support ActiveSG's wider goal of making sport and fitness accessible to the community.
We hope ActiveSG will consider this modest extension for the benefit of the many residents who use and value the Bukit Batok gym.
