Such conduct allegedly violates Articles 2, 3, 50, 65, and 66 of the Constitution, which establish constitutional supremacy, separation of powers, and the binding authority of Supreme Court judgments.
By permitting unconstitutional actions to persist, the President allegedly weakened judicial independence and constitutional democracy.
ARTICLE II

This alleged failure violates Articles 11(a), 11(c), 15(a), 20(a), and 50 of the Constitution, which guarantee equal protection, freedom of expression, due process, and protection of life and liberty.
The administration allegedly failed to prevent excessive force, ensure accountability, and conduct transparent investigations.
ARTICLE III
ENDANGERING LIBERIA’S SOVEREIGNTY AND TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY
President Boakai allegedly failed to safeguard Liberia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in matters involving dealings with the Republic of Guinea and issues affecting Liberian land and resources.
Such conduct allegedly violates Articles 1, 34(c), 50, and 54(c) of the Constitution by failing to ensure proper consultation and legislative oversight on matters affecting national sovereignty.
ARTICLE IV
CRACKDOWN ON PRESS FREEDOM AND FREE SPEECH
President Boakai allegedly presided over actions that undermined press freedom and freedom of speech through intimidation, harassment, and suppression of journalists, media institutions, and government critics.
These alleged actions violate Articles 11(c), 15(a), and 15(b) of the Constitution, which protect freedom of expression and equal protection under the law.
ARTICLE V
CORRUPTION AND FAILURE OF ACCOUNTABILITY
President Boakai allegedly failed to combat corruption and presided over widespread allegations involving misuse of public resources and abuse of public office.
Such conduct allegedly violates Articles 5(c), 50, 89, and 90(c) of the Constitution, which mandate integrity, transparency, and accountability in government.
The administration allegedly failed to adequately investigate corruption allegations or strengthen anti-corruption institutions.
ARTICLE VI
ABUSE OF POWER AND BREACH OF PUBLIC TRUST
President Boakai allegedly engaged in selective justice, political intimidation, and abuse of executive authority inconsistent with the responsibilities of the Presidency.
Such conduct allegedly violates Articles 1, 11(c), 18, and 50 of the Constitution, which guarantee equal protection, impartial governance, and faithful execution of the laws.

Reason
• Protection of the Constitution
Impeachment serves as a constitutional mechanism to hold a president accountable if he is believed to have violated the law, abused power, or failed to uphold constitutional duties. It reinforces the principle that no leader is above the law.
• Defense of Democratic Institutions
A lawful impeachment process can strengthen Liberia’s democracy by proving that institutions such as the Legislature and Judiciary have the authority to check executive power. This helps preserve the balance of power in government.
• Public Accountability
If citizens believe the government has ignored public concerns, violated rights, or acted against national interests, impeachment becomes a political tool for demanding accountability and transparency from leadership.
• Protection of Civil Liberties
Concerns over press freedom, freedom of speech, unlawful killings, or suppression of dissent often become central issues in impeachment discussions. Raising these issues publicly can increase national and international attention on human rights and governance.
• National Sovereignty and Resource Protection
If allegations involve improper handling of national land, resources, or foreign agreements, impeachment efforts may be viewed by supporters as an attempt to defend Liberia’s sovereignty and protect future generations.
• Judicial Respect and Rule of Law
When accusations involve disregard for court rulings or constitutional procedures, impeachment arguments often focus on preserving respect for the judiciary and maintaining the rule of law.
• Political Consequences and National Debate
An impeachment process forces national debate about governance, corruption, leadership performance, and the direction of the country. It can energize civic participation and political awareness among citizens.
• Historical and International Impact
Liberia’s political stability is closely watched internationally. Any impeachment process would influence the country’s democratic image, investor confidence, diplomatic relationships, and regional reputation.
However, impeachment is also a serious and sensitive constitutional process. For it to maintain legitimacy, it must rely on verified evidence, due process, peaceful civic engagement, and constitutional procedures rather than political hostility or violence.
